Missing teeth can be really inconvenient. Several missing teeth can lead to a reduction in the intake of food and thereby lead to a weakening of the body. So, it is always advisable to get replacements for the missing teeth. There are 3 methods of solution to this problem:

  • Dentures
  • Denture implants
  • Dental bridges

Dental bridges include shaping the neighboring natural teeth of the missing teeth space to fit a cap over it and create a bridge supporting the artificial teeth. Dentures are one of the oldest substitutes of natural teeth. You may have seen your grandparents using them. They are a literally removable set of teeth. The most recent invention in the field of artificial teeth replacement is the denture implants. A denture implant consists of a small titanium post which is attached to a lifelike dental crown. The crown is the only part that is visible is outside. The titanium post is rooted into the jawbone beneath the gums that previously held your missing teeth. Two of four or several more posts are implanted to support the whole denture structure. Also, this procedure can be done by using just one implant in case you have only one or two missing teeth. Denture implants are being preferred by most of the dental patients over dental bridges and dentures. Personally, I would agree with this preference. I have several reasons to justify it and after I am done explaining those, I am sure you would agree as well.

DENTURE IMPLANTS LAST THE LONGEST OF ALL – ALMOST FOR A LIFETIME.

Denture Implants

As explained above, these implants are deeply rooted in your jawbone and gums just like your natural teeth previously were. One can say that the nature of this process is somewhat permanent in nature. So, if you are done with the process, you have don’t have to look back for another 9-10 years for any kind of replacement or such. It is a real pain to keep getting your dental bridges or dentures remodeled every time they come loose. Denture implants are a rooted deep inside your jaws, which makes sure that over the period of time it doesn’t get loosen up.

DENTURE IMPLANTS FEEL JUST LIKE NATURAL TEETH.

Have you seen a person using dentures? Seen how there is a need for regular cleaning by removing them, how they feel uncomfortable while sleeping, how they occasionally fall off while eating. All these troubles are non-existent in denture implants. You just wake up and brush your teeth and floss just like you used to do with your natural teeth. That does sound great, doesn’t it?

DENTURE IMPLANTS PREVENT BONE LOSS.

Denture Implants

Bone loss is a long-term consequence of missing teeth. Due to the absence of teeth roots fixed inside the jawbone, there is an irregular stimulation due to chewing and that leads to the receding of the bone and it eventually deteriorates completely. This leads to the sagging of the skin and thereby making you look older. Unlike bridges or dentures which merely sit above the gums, denture implants actually are fixed into the jawbone which provides natural stimulation while chewing and thus the deterioration of the jawline can be prevented.

DENTURE IMPLANTS PREVENTS DAMAGE OF THE ADJACENT HEALTHY NATURAL TEETH.

Implant Overdenture

Looking into the procedures of dental bridges, it includes shaping the neighboring teeth to fit a cap that would support the artificial teeth. This, in turn, puts a lot of pressure on the adjoining teeth and weakens them. This does not happen in the case of denture implants and each tooth has its own support base.

With these points, you can officially declare denture implants as the winner in the competition of the best denture solutions.
